Our Story
Our name pays tribute to Kaldi, the legendary 9th-century Ethiopian goat herder who first discovered the energizing magic of coffee after watching his goats dance with delight from nibbling on coffee cherries. His curious spirit inspires everything we do.
KALD is also a proud nod to the Scots word for “cold” — a perfect reflection of our cold brew process that gently extracts the deepest, smoothest flavours from hand-selected coffee beans. It's a drink made to be savoured — especially on a cauld Scottish day.
